Too much work for ANet...let's see...

There are 2 million+ accounts. Each account has, say, an average of 6 characters.

2 million * 6 = 12 million

ANet will have to make 12 million different minipets to accommodate everyone...no way are they going to do this.

Make em REALLY rare
And...if you like the idea let Anet figger out how to implement it
c'mon..it's cool...
and...how bout if this present were the ONLY one that were specially wrapped.
So you would know that you had just received THE absolutely rarest minipet in the game before even opening it?
An unopened present with knowledge that it was a Mini-Me would sell for a TON of money and be HUGELY collectible BEFORE it was even opened.
how cool is that

exactly!

course she'd be the only that could open and have it "set" for her.
but, after she had opened the box, just any other mini-pet...she could sell it.
come on ...how cool would it be to see someone walking along...and a miniature of him walking right beside him?
This would explode the prices anyone would think to pay for a minipet
guaranteed

/signed! mini-me ftw, and all A-net would have to do is create "mini armor" models, similar to the real life character just smaller, when the mini-pet is "created" it saves what armor your wearing, and when the minipet is being shown, it shows the mini-versions of that armor, of course, the face/hair and such wouldnt really matter, as they are way way to small to really notice.

I don't like the idea of a minipet version of my characters. It would imply there having to be a mini-minipet following the first minipet following me, with another mini-mini-minipet following that one, etc. It's a creepy thought.

That kinda sounds like my necro running around with her minions.. she looks kinda dead, followed by flesh golem, bone fiend, vampiric horror, bone horror, necrid horseman minipet

Ok, now on topic.. I think it is an awesome idea, and since I am not a computer junkie (no offense to those who are of course ) I don't have any idea on how hard this would be to implement in the game
If it is possible, I'd be happy with the addition, would be cool to have my cutey monk miniature running besides my tough looking warrior ^^

Therefore.......... /SIGNED

A mini Gwen would be the most sought after minipet. Especially if she healed you like in presearing....
